Transcription: A floppy disk contains a circle of flexible plastic, both sides of which are coated with microscopic iron oxide particles. Each side of the disk is divided into invisible areas called tracks, which are concentric circles. Each track is divided into wedge-shaped divisions called sectors. A floppy disk drive contains two magnetic heads, one for each side of the disk. A stepper motor and worm gear mechanism moves the heads across the surface of the disk.
